… I only have two hours a day to work my business, so I need it to come fast!

When I read that statement this morning, I just about choked on my first cup of coffee…

… As my mind quickly flashed to all the things that I never had the time to learn.

Those little things that had helped me along the road to finding success within network marketing. You know those things like:

• Fireworks

• Copywriting
• Prospecting

The list goes on…

Yet, everything that I’ve learned would not have mattered one little bit if I didn’t know what my prospects really wanted in the first place.

I’ve listened to hundreds of training audio’s, I’ve taken notes as well as putting into practice what I’ve learned.

… Then welcome to the wonderful world of western society.

The more we believe we have no-time, the less time we actually have. We are caught up in a trap, the “fear of being late!” And one-day you’ll wake up and wonder where has my life has gone?

Have you ever seen the movie “Click” with Adam Sandler? I highly recommend you take the time out of your busy schedule and watch it. It is sort of a serious comedy, but it really speaks volumes about our western culture and how we live our lives today.

Today, with so many self-help books on time management, you could literally fill up a small room with them! It leaves no room for anyone to use the excuse “I don’t have enough time to learn.”

We All Want To Build Our Businesses Fast.

Ask yourself what am I willing to do or sacrifice to accomplish this? I can remember years ago, how many hours I would spend each day building my business…

… I can remember my wife coming into my office at 3 in the morning, where she would find me working or studying. At first she thought I was nuts, and she was probably right!

Like you probably are now, I was working a full-time job and what seemed like a full-time network marketing business at the same time. I sacrificed then so that now…

… I can enjoy working my schedule, when I want and where I want to!

Where do you spend your time?

Each of us has the same 168 hours in our week, and it might just look like this so lets break it down!

• 168 total hours.
• 50 hours spent working for someone else. 40 hours working 1 hour for lunch, 30 minutes commuting each way.
• 56 hours spent sleeping 8 hours each night. Yeah, like we get that much each night right!
• 21 hours for our household 3 hours each day. More like 10 hours a week.

That leaves us with 41 hours or 5.85 hours each day.

If we spend 2 hours each day or 14 hours a week building our network marketing business, it leaves us with 27 hours or 3.85 hours each day for family & leisure time.

So where can you find the time to Learn?

If you take your 1 hour lunch break and use 30 minutes of it along with your 30 minute commute each way you’ll pick up 1.5 hours or 7.5 hours each week…

…That is time you could recapture and apply to your education, something that will provide you with huge dividends in the future.

While you’re doing your household tasks, how about you plug in your head phones into your iPod and listen a few training audio’s? That alone could give you another 21 hours each week.

Just these few simple steps, and using your time more effectively, you could accumulate up to 28.5 hours each week for your educational purposes.

Think about it, you’re almost at the level of a full-time student…

… And you have not even touched any of your 27 hours of family – leisure time, plus you haven’t touched any of the 14 hours of business building time either!

So when I hear, I just don’t have anytime to learn all of this Network Marketing S**T well I just have to raise the B.S. Flag!

Just remember Knowledge Is Power! If you want to keep from going broke in network marketing, you’ll find the time to learn!

When it comes to generating your own leads, there are many systems out there. This is where the hypocrisy comes in; they tell you that the best way to generate leads online is with your own system.

In the next paragraph they tell you all about using their marketing material and system to generate your very own network marketing leads. This maybe ok for a while until you understand how to do it.

Just using it for recruiting, leads to your portrayal of a pyramid scheme. It’s no wonder your friends and family are not interested in both your opportunity or products. Setting up your own system is not difficult at all; it does require effort on your part.

What’s Required

• A web site or blog.
• Marketing Material.
• Autoreponder system.
• Skills to make it work.

With a website or blog, we have to know some basic SEO Skills. Yet, most of it is not what you think, there are really no secrets. It is just that you don’t know what they are, so if that makes it a secret then maybe it is.

Your best resource for SEO actually comes from the search engines themselves, they explain exactly what they want to see from your site. They want you to write for your visitor, that means you do need to have an understanding of what you will be writing about; you cannot just wing it!

Take a look at your site, do the graphics etc… optimized for the web? Or does it take 2 minutes on a dial-up modem to download the pages? Just simple stuff yet it can be found by doing a search, some research into who is giving you the right information and what is B.S.

Marketing Material, is where most fail. The material must match the site, it makes a tremendous difference in conversion rates. Many companies do have collateral marketing pieces “free reports” that you can use.

What if your company does not have material or even allow you to promote them online can you still do it? Yes you can there are companies that create material or you can write your own report to use. Here is a site to give you some ideas Tapes and Tools.

To create good follow-up e-mail campaigns, takes a little more skill, yet it can be done. First you will need a good auto-responder system. There are many of them to choose from, more important, is that the leads you do create that list is yours. Hard to say that if you are using someone else’s system.

Finally you’ll need the skills to make it all works seamlessly together. If you’ve ever read the book The Business School the reason to do network marketing is for the education process. With the right skill set, you can do just about anything you want when it comes to marketing, without being a follower. Avoid the scams and become your own Master Today!

I read a network marketing blog post earlier today that really was ironic. The title of the post was It’s not your fault if you’ve failed at Network Marketing. Now why would someone be compelled to write this? From what I gathered, they are being taught this.

The truth is success or failure is all up to you. The sooner that you realize you are in control of your network marketing future the better off you’ll be. Everyone seems to believe it is always someone else’s or the companies fault that they are not succeeding in network marketing.

It’s a whole different world when you are your own boss. It’s now up to you to just suck it up and get the job done! Network Marketing should be started with training first, so you’ll be able to identify the scams out there trying to separate you from your money!

So if your failing, the question is what are you going to do about it? If the only way you think you can actually make money is by strictly recruiting and then praying someone else will go out and sell the product, maybe it’s time you quit as you’ve already failed!

If you want to become successful you’ll need a few things:

1. A company with a product that warm market, cold market and anyone else will want.
2. A Strong understanding of exactly what your company has to offer, and where to find it.
3. Training, that teaches you, prospecting skills, online marketing, offline marketing,
4. The strength to carry one when everything seems to be going against you, because at times it will.

We all do it, have you ever started a project only to forget all about it. This past week I was looking back through all of my notes on projects that where completed and those that where never completed I came across my blog project, you know some place to write about my ideas on what is right and what is wrong with network / mlm marketing today.

Well here it is almost 2 years later, my business has grown to the point that I almost have no free time left. I thought that Network Marketing was supposed to be all about freedom? Well it is about freedom and it is really no longer work.

Helping people to become successful in which ever business they are in has become a passion of mine. Yet it is still amazing that most people will not take the necessary action to ensure their network marketing success.
