Setting up our email system.

The first thing I’m going to recommend is, to get rid of your web based email system.

Just about every computer has a program called Outlook Express, or you may have the full version of Outlook.

There are many reasons we want to have this information on our desktop rather then on the web.

Outlook Express

Outlook express or Outlook 2003, are powerful email processors for windows based system. Most of today's business software will integrate with them.

It really becomes important as our business begins to grow to have these tools and process put into place before we achieve this growth.

When we first start with outlook express this is essentially what it will look like nothing is really setup yet.

 

One of the first things we must do with outlook express is set it up to send and receive emails. In order to do this there is some information that we must have from our internet service providers. Most if not all of our internet service providers will have a help page associated with our email. They should have a page that gives you very detailed instructions on how to setup Outlook express or Outlook.

Once we have this information we can place this in our outlook settings. On the next few pages I will walk you through a typical setup for goggle's gmail, your email may or may not be similar.
