Network Marketing - Social Security

In his speech at the recent forum on Social Security, President Bush stated that “If you are 20 years old, in your mid-20’s and beginning to work, I want you to think about a Social Security system that will be flat bust, bankrupt, unless the United States Congress has got the willingness to act now.”

He also warned of a potentially “bankrupt” system in a radio address last month referring to demographic changes that signal a looming danger.

Bush went on to say, “In the year 2018, for the firs time ever, Social security will pay out more in benefits than the government collects in payroll taxes.” 2018 is only ten years away. Are you certain that Social Security as we know it will be available when you are eligible to draw benefits? Read more

Everyday, my website is visited by numerous network marketers all looking for solutions to their challenges. I would roughly put it at 95 percent are here trying to figure out how to build a strong internet presence, to create the proverbial authoritative website.

I’ve written about this many times, over the course of the years. Websites are great no doubt but yet that is just one small part of creating success.

Still so many of you reading my site will spend thousands of dollars working towards achieving this goal, instead you’ll more then likely end up like the picture on the left there!

I read a network marketing blog post earlier today that really was ironic. The title of the post was It’s not your fault if you’ve failed at Network Marketing. Now why would someone be compelled to write this? From what I gathered, they are being taught this.

The truth is success or failure is all up to you. The sooner that you realize you are in control of your network marketing future the better off you’ll be. Everyone seems to believe it is always someone else’s or the companies fault that they are not succeeding in network marketing.

Financial Goals - Why does it take so long?

March 20, 2008 by Glenn Burks · 1 Comment

I was talking to a new member on my team and I asked this person to tell me their monthly income goal. They answered quickly - “$5,000 per month.” Using an income calculation tool, I projected they would reach their goal (based on recruiting six people into their organization each month, which I felt was somewhat aggressive) in 18 months. They responded by saying, “Why so long?”

Wow! I was surprised by their answer. Tell me, what kind of job/business opportunity(without prior experience) is available, using minimal capital, that would allow you the opportunity to work from your home and in 18 short months provide you with a $60,000 annual income. Read more

Network Marketing Rabbit-Trails

March 13, 2008 by Glenn Burks · 2 Comments

What is a “rabbit-trail?” It is a side-path, leading from the main path to an undetermined destination - at least that is my definition. So why am I even discussing this?

The other day I was having a conversation with a fellow network marketer. He had subscribed to a reputable training on how to expand his business when he decided to go another direction. I asked him why he was changing his course in mid-stream. His answer was, what he was doing is not working. Read more
