Google’s New Rules Apply to Network Marketers!

February 26, 2008 by Glenn Burks

Google announced new url rules on 2-19-08 that will affect many of you out there using systems to market your business.

So what does it mean and why should you care? I’m often amazed at people that look towards someone else’s system to create their success, rather then coming to the understanding that the only system they really need is themselves.

I almost equate Google’s move, to more of a truth in advertising effect that will keep individuals who are searching for information from landing on the same page, with just a different name.

If your marketing and praying that your success comes from one of these systems, you’ll have until April 1st to make the necessary changes to your ad’s.

No, this is no April Fools joke, you can read about on the link I’ve placed above. I can now foresee that most of these programs will shortly be out of business leaving the unsuspecting marketer high and dry, only time will tell.

My gut feeling is that there was probably enough complaints from the marketers themselves to Google about what they perceived as click fraud when it was searchers kept finding the same old junk and clicking back off the ad.

I’ve always taught individuals, not only must you have your own web site but it must be unique and original. Copying and plagiarizing from other sites just will not cut it.

This is where I’m thankful for the training I’ve received through LeadersClub. Without their foresight and staying on top of the cutting edge of marketing I and many others would not be where we are today.

You’d be surprised at some of the names there. In fact some of them have gone on to compete and produce the very systems that will be affected by Google’s new rules.

So How will 2008 change for you?
