In his speech at the recent forum on Social Security, President Bush stated that “If you are 20 years old, in your mid-20’s and beginning to work, I want you to think about a Social Security system that will be flat bust, bankrupt, unless the United States Congress has got the willingness to act now.”
He also warned of a potentially “bankrupt” system in a radio address last month referring to demographic changes that signal a looming danger.
Bush went on to say, “In the year 2018, for the firs time ever, Social security will pay out more in benefits than the government collects in payroll taxes.” 2018 is only ten years away. How many times have I heard the statement - “Network marketing doesn’t work for me.” As a matter of fact, how many times have I felt that way?
