Hiding Behind Your Computer Screen?

Does this describe you? Sometimes it even describes myself. Often we get so wrapped up in email prospects, online forums, web 2.0 stuff that we are literally becoming introverts.

Over the course of time, I’ve watched some of the best prospectors work their craft. One of the things that they all shared in common was:

They where all ministers!

Now why is that note worthy? Because they had a strong understanding of people and how to connect with even the most distraught, angry or callous individuals.

Prospecting is an art!

Yet most will never work at it long enough to become any good at it. So we find ourselves chasing every method that we believe will keep our fragile ego’s from getting hurt.

So in the end, we hiding behind the computer, telephone when we should be out enjoying life. I’ve often wondered why someone would state “Ditch your local Meetings” is that a smart decision?

Humans need interaction with other humans.

It is hard to gauge the response of someone that you cannot see. When we are using the telephone, we are at a major disadvantage when it comes to identifying the response from the other person.

I always get a laugh out of the networkers on youtube, some of the video’s really just make you want to laugh. Well, maybe it’s working for them but how do you know, can you track results from it?

I’ve written before about video ads, and how Apple just stomps the crap out of Microsoft when it comes to producing a high quality video, that gets results.

There is no doubt the internet and marketing online are here to stay, but Google has reported it second month in a row of declining revenue. This is an interesting trend, does it mean people are less enamored with searching on the net? It is possible.

Reverse Prospecting.

I was having a discussion with a good friend of mine. He was talking about how the telemarketing company where calling.

When I told him I like it when they called automated or not. If it was automated I would go all the way through till I got to a live person.

Once I had them on the line, I’d ask the question:

Why are you making someone else rich, when you could be doing it for yourself! Then I give them the address of my web site. Now is it successful, probably not as there is no way to really track it.

Still If I can help just one person to see the light then I’ve done my Job. What have you done lately to bring someone into Network Marketing that has never been exposed to it before?

This was one of the few positive sites I have found on Network Marketing. I was happy to find it since I just got in the mlm game. I recently got to know and develop a friendship with someone, and I signed up as a distributor for Tahitian Noni. Have you heard any feedback from this company?

    Hi Kim,

Thank you for the comment about the site. Tahitian Noni is another in a long list of nutritional companies. I’ve not heard any negative comments about the company.

All of the companies provide great products. What I find is that many of the distributors focus on recruiting solely, versus a balanced approach of prospecting and customer acquisition.
