The Internet & Network Marketing
Today internet – network marketing is exploding. 10 years ago most people being introduced to network or Multilevel marketing where introduced by a friend or relative, someone that you trusted, today it’s just not the case.
Through the web, we can bring our network marketing opportunities and products to millions of people world-wide. In the past we where limited to static websites, forums, chat-rooms, and instant messenger.
Today we have, blogs, Twitter, Facebook, etc… just to name a few, or Web 2.0 if you prefer that cliche.
While in many cases web 2.0 works great, in network marketing it just doesn’t quite measure up. Although the guru’s will tell you it does, even though they’ve never built a top ten web site!
…So how could they track and report back on what they don’t know?
Today we can bring or prospects instant audio, video and full explanations of our business instantly, yet even with all this provided by many of the network marketing companies, most distributors do not know how to utilize this effectively.
Several years ago, I was telling everyone that you needed an internet web presence, separate from your companies site…
…You needed to have your own personal web site. I can still remember my former downline members; Mike Dillard, Ann Sieg stating that it was not duplicatable. The only part that was not duplicatable was the effort to reach the goal.
Today, I may actually have to agree with them on this issue…
…tying the internet and network marketing together requires more then just the ability to get a web site online. The subject just like any other, requires tacit knowledge, something that very few can teach you!
Fact is most people, will give up long before any measurable results come from it. So they turn to the short cuts of driving traffic via social media methods, and still do not understand why they have poor results. Perry Marshall, summed it up in one of his newsletters clearly pointing out why they get poor results, and they don’t even know it!
If you are trying to tie the internet & network marketing together what do you need?
1. ) Tacit Knowledge… more on this later.
2.) A Domain Name.
When selecting a domain name, it used to be important to select a name with keywords in it. This has become nearly impossible today. Still, we see websites that do not have keywords stuffed into their domain name getting much better search engine rankings.
I’ve used Godaddy for years for my domain names, reasonable price and managing them is easy. If your seious about your business, and think you’ll stick around in network marketing for a long time, I’d recommend that you grab your name if at all possible.
Grab your name even if you don’t plan on using it for awhile!
3.) Web Hosting.
When it comes to web hosting, we’re all looking for bargains, remember we often get what we pay for. Everyone should have a personal web site, this lets your customers and prospects know just who you are.
You can find we hosting in a variety of places, often they will have software as part of the hosting to build very simple websites. One source I recommend even gives you FREE web hosting as part of its subscription service. Not just a landing page but a complete, professional grade content management solution.
Web Design Software.
In many cases you’ll need software in order to design and work with your web sites, such as Macromedia’s Dreamweaver, Frontpage etc. There are other versions of web design software out there, but most people will use one of the two listed above.
I know everyone likes to do things cheaply but do not use free templates, you can spend sometimes less then one hundred dollars and get a great template for you site.
Staying in contact with your prospects is essential in todays market place. Companies both large and small employ e-mail marketing to reach their target market.
6.) The skill and determination to tie the internet and network marketing together!
Building a web site can be both frustrating and exhilarating at the same time. There is a great many resources and books out there on the subject including the manuals that come with the software such as Dreamweaver, Frontpage etc.
Yet, these manuals & books only cover the technical parts of building a web site…
…As I mentioned in #1 you’ll need Tacit – knowledge to create a great web site.
You Don’t need Expensive SEO Software!
Now before you go flying off the handle, about buying all this great SEO software that does all the magic for you… I’m going to let you in on a little secret!
From about 2001 to 2007 I have spent thousands of dollars buying this software, and most of it did nothing. In fact there is only one piece of software I would recommend and I don’t even use it for what it was designed for.
The most important ingredient to my Internet Network Marketing Success is…
…Tacit – Knowledge! It’s not something you can get reading a book, you can’t get it reading a web page, you can’t get it attending a seminar!
All of these actions are but stepping stones!
The only way you can get there is by talking to enough prospects and truly paying attention. You have to apply what you’ve read, listened to, into practical application…
…You need to be talking to prospects!
One a daily consistent basis, yet most people will quit long before they ever reach that level.
If you’re serious about building your internet network marketing business, then maybe you need the source that can help you the most. A place where you can get the tacit knowledge, and the practical experience to both online and offline marketing.
Discover for youself, why many of the top internet network marketers have trained there. And more important why they don’t want you to know…
…why would they not want you to know? Why do they have a fit every time I let you know they where members? It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure it out, YOU’RE their competition!
Compare what the club has to offer…
Looking forward to seeing you in the top ten, with me!
