Hello Glenn Burks here from network-marketing-works.com. Each morning, like normal I get up and have a cup of coffee. I check and read my emails. This morning there was an interesting email. It was a reply to my network marketing works blog email list that is sent out from Google. Sent out to people who [...]

Most people, including myself, first looked into and then started into our new venture in network marketing mainly for the money that could be made. Maybe, that is why you started and then again maybe not. Everyone wants more out of life, and today is no exception with all the uncertainty in todays economy. Often [...]

…Most of the individuals in network marketing will not take it. I know when I started I didn’t. I followed just about anything that sounded good. To put it bluntly, I was following training advice from people that seemed to know what they where doing. It wasn’t until I really began to focus did I [...]

Time sure flies don’t it. It has been almost a month since most of us have thought about, and many of us have written down our goals for our network marketing business. If statistics hold true, over 70 percent of us have either dropped or completely forgotten the new goals we’ve set for this year. [...]

Often we go through life with the blinders on, we have that secure feeling that if I just do everything right it cannot possibly happen to me. Well guess again, it can and does happen. I discovered this in a tweet today by Chris Brogan, and boy did it strike a cord. Just recently I [...]

On the 11th of November 2009 I was at my brothers funeral. He was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident just a few days earlier. My brother was never in network marketing yet, it appears from the poem that was written below he was a master marketer. Someone who truly listened to what people wanted [...]

Today I was re-reading one of my favorite books by Hal Urban, titled “Life’s Greatest Lessons” 20 Things That Matter. At the end of the Introduction he quotes an ancient Chinese proverb: I hear…and I forget I see…and I remember I do…and I understand I’ve read many quotes over the years that echo along those [...]

… I only have two hours a day to work my business, so I need it to come fast!

When I read that statement this morning, I just about choked on my first cup of coffee…

… As my mind quickly flashed to all the things that I never had the time to learn.

Those little things that had helped me along the road to finding success within network marketing. You know those things like:

… Or just passionate about the money you’ll make in network marketing?

Many advertisers today believe you are far more interested in the money you’ll make, and that you really have no passion about what you do to achieve it!

Life is a lot easier when you are passionate about what you’re doing.

Your passion can lead to a more fulling life.

Early in my life I always had this dream of living in Alaska, how many young boys that like to hunt and fish have that dream?

I don’t know about you, but I really get tired of seeing headlines that state “If I had only been in the right place at the right time!”

A few people do actually fall into a great deal, they where in the right place at the right time, when the stars where all aligned.

Yet, it may only happen once in a lifetime!

For the rest of us, we must create our own luck if you really want to call it that!

Most of us really cannot see the gold-mine that is right in front of us, due to all the noise and distraction that fills our lives everyday.

The frustration that you’re experiencing is not uncommon, and I empathize with anyone going through this phase of network marketing! In 2007, I was so frustrated I was ready to through in the towel on network marketing, even though I was making a great full time income. Yet, I almost made a fatal mistake of [...]

How does procrastination affect your network marketing business? This past weekend I watched a tourism commercial for the state of Michigan that really brought home the effects of procrastination. In the ad, it stated all we get is about twenty-five thousand mornings! At first twenty-five thousand sounds like a huge number, roughly 68 years. How [...]

Is network marketing getting ready to drive the next major economic powerhouse? In 2001 I remember reading an article which was an interview with Paul Zane Pilzer. Paul had written a book “The Wellness Revolution,” the article looks towards the future.

You can view the results today on the vision that was shared the explosion of the health and wellness industry within network marketing today. In tough economic times, budgets shrink unless your the government, then you just print more money!

Do you know exactly what you really want to get out of network marketing? Don’t feel bad if you really don’t know, most people don’t, yet we think that we do. I was watching the old movie City Slickers the other night, hey it’s a funny old movie.

In the movie, Curly mentions there is only one thing that really matters in life, and you have to figure out what that one thing is. Often refer to this as the primary want, over time this can change. For some it’s purely the money “GREED,” for others the mission is larger than themselves!

When it comes to generating your own leads, there are many systems out there. This is where the hypocrisy comes in; they tell you that the best way to generate leads online is with your own system. In the next paragraph they tell you all about using their marketing material and system to generate your [...]

Unless you’ve been living under a rock lately and I am pretty sure that you haven’t. You have no doubt seen the news that comes out every day, corporations laying people off people by the thousands.

Or they’re reducing hours that the employees work, one of the companies that I worked for in the past has started moved towards placing them on a 20 hour work week.

This action only continues to undermine the public’s confidence in the future. It is clearly evident that the economy of the world is driven by consumer confidence.

This year has been tough for everyone, hundreds of thousands have lost their jobs; many have lost their homes. Yet ten’s of thousands have started a network marketing business!

At the start of the 2008, the outlook on the economy did not look so bleak. As the year progressed, thanks to the constant bombardment of the media about how bad everything was, it became a self-fulfilling prophecy!

With 2008 rapidly coming to a close, what a year it has been! In the beginning of they year it seemed everyone was in denial when it came to the economy or where they? This year really brought to light who is really in charge of this economy, and that is you and I. The [...]

This is a question, I often wondered over the course of the years while talking to many individuals. Many of them got involved in network marketing for all the wrong reasons!

In the end, many of them ended up being MLM – Network Marketing Junkies looking for the next great opportunity rather then focusing on building a business “their business.”

How many of you feel like your spinning your wheels and really getting no where? So many people today feel exactly this way in their business.

Have you really thought through why you started your network marketing business? So many of us have looked towards the business to generate enormous amounts of income.

With current events it could just be the salvation that allows you to continue to live in the lifestyle your accustom to.

This is one thing that no one can over look. In the past few months we’ve seen everyone tightening their belt as the economy continues its downward spiral. If it is affecting everyone from airlines to Las Vegas casino operators, it surely has to be affecting you and I as well. As many of us [...]

With the current economy here in the U.S. Network Marketing Makes more sense then ever before. With the cost of living rising faster then before it really makes you stop and think. Many companies today are seeing their profit margins evaporating.

With this in mind, I began to think about the future of pay raises that companies will be paying to it’s employees. Several years back, the president of the company I worked for flew into town for the annual meeting.

In his speech at the recent forum on Social Security, President Bush stated that “If you are 20 years old, in your mid-20’s and beginning to work, I want you to think about a Social Security system that will be flat bust, bankrupt, unless the United States Congress has got the willingness to act now.”

He also warned of a potentially “bankrupt” system in a radio address last month referring to demographic changes that signal a looming danger.

Everyday, my website is visited by numerous network marketers all looking for solutions to their challenges. I would roughly put it at 95 percent are here trying to figure out how to build a strong internet presence, to create the proverbial authoritative website.

I’ve written about this many times, over the course of the years. Websites are great no doubt but yet that is just one small part of creating success.

I read a network marketing blog post earlier today that really was ironic. The title of the post was It’s not your fault if you’ve failed at Network Marketing. Now why would someone be compelled to write this? From what I gathered, they are being taught this.

The truth is success or failure is all up to you. The sooner that you realize you are in control of your network marketing future the better off you’ll be. Everyone seems to believe it is always someone else’s or the companies fault that they are not succeeding in network marketing.

The other day I was having a conversation with one of my prospects when we started talking about how long it would take for him to build a home-based business that would provide him with a six-figure income.

Currently he works full-time and he is able to devote 10 – 15 hours a week to a home-based business. I told him that if he took consistent effective action, he would probably be able to accomplish his six-figure income goal in approximately 4 – 5 years.

Network Marketing is a simple business; however it is not an easy business.

Many people I talk to, who having expressed an interest in developing a successful network marketing business, believe that they can do so with a minimum of training and effort. They have not thought that if it were so easy to build a successful network marketing business, why isn’t everyone doing it?

The fact of the matter is that many people try network marketing and very few people succeed.

Everyone comes into network marketing working towards the ability to call their own shots in life, yet just what does that mean. I myself could not wait for that day to begin to finally be able to move into my own business full time.

Yet, there was always that little twinge of apprehension in the background. Years of working for someone else instead of ourselves will paralyze us with fear at the thought of not having that security blanket we affectionately call a JOB.

When this time of the year comes around we make new promises for the coming year. We will work our business more consistently and finally get organized in our business.

Each year most of us keep these promises for only a very short time, sometimes only a few weeks. Becoming an effective network marketer requires discipline, involving consistent action year round.

One of the most important lessons I learned early on, was to stay consistent in building my business whether that be contacting new prospects, following up with customers, working on my web sites etc…

We all do it, have you ever started a project only to forget all about it. This past week I was looking back through all of my notes on projects that where completed and those that where never completed. I came across my blog project, you know some place to write about my ideas on [...]
