Are You One of The New
Network Marketing Professionals?
Today as in the past everywhere you look there are so many individuals claiming to be network marketing professionals, are they really? That’s a very good question!
What is the definition of a Professional?
1.) A person engaged in a specified activity as one’s main paid occupation rather than as a pastime.
2.) A person having or showing the skill appropriate to a professional person; competent or skillful.
After joining my first network marketing company, I still remember my uplines response when asked “How Do We Retail the Products?”
The answer we received was clearly not what I expected “Don’t Worry About IT!” The advice given was to just go out recruit others and get them on the product!
Clearly this was not my interpretation of what a network marketing professional is or should be, is it yours?
If we look at other professionals such as Lawyers, Doctors, Insurance agents, they do not focus first and foremost on recruiting others, they begin by marketing their business and building a loyal customer base!
So, by taking this action and focusing their efforts and resources on generating a customer base, they will generate the income they will need to expand and grow their business.
Later after they have generated this capital to expand their business they can then look for and bring on more partners. This is the point where it gets exciting as their business growth and income potential can grow exponentially!
So why should network marketing be any different?
I’m sure you can remember when you first entered this profession and sponsored a few people, did anyone stop and ask you how to retail your company products?
Clearly the sooner you can get your new member into a profit margin, the sooner they will feel a sense of accomplishment!
And, more important the sooner they will begin to feel like a professional! Showing them how to do this will go a long way towards improving your retention rate!
So, what is the key to becoming a Network Marketing Professional?
I touched on it above:
A person having or showing the skill appropriate to a professional person; competent or skillful.
Today so many practice the art of: Fake It, Till You Make It! Yet we all know this is not the mark of a true professional. If you’ve been reading through my website, you’ll understand the importance I place on marketing education. Yet, sadly there are very few sources that I actually trust!
So, what will you do with your summer? Will you sit around wishing you had an extra $500.00 a month of income? Or will you take the necessary action to educate yourself and join the ranks of the true network marketing professionals?
The true secret of giving advice is, after you have honestly given it, to be perfectly indifferent whether it is taken or not, and never persist in trying to set people right.
